ABOUT SANTINA-Life Journey so far

Hallo there,

Sometimes it hits me that i may come across as an all knowing ,chest thumping blogger who thinks she has all the solutions to the world's problems but really I am no expert.

I  hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Food,Nutrition and Dietetics from Kenyatta University. From as early as I can remember i fell in love with books and if there is a heaven i hope it has a great library and serves Kenyan coffee.

My work experience has included stints as a real estate agent, customer service agent and a nutritionist. At the moment I run an event company(Soire'e Kenya) but writing is my first love.

In this posts you will discover my thoughts, hopes and fears as a Kenyan,a a mum and a citizen of the world. You will get to know my pet peeves by the rants and ravings on some of my posts .You will discover most of my posts end with the question..how can things be better for the next generation of Kenyans, and what legacy am I going to leave for my children ?Sometimes these two questions give me sleepless nights.

Frederick Douglass was famous for saying the path from slavery to freedom was literacy, today we face many kinds of slavery in Kenya ,from poverty to ethnicity to simply ignorance on issues affecting us.I want to add something to Frederick's great quote, the road to freedom is paved with books therein lies knowledge. And who knows where this thirst, this curiosity for knowledge  stuff will take  you and me.........
